Custom Tones for the Hazavoid Wireless Alarm System
The WiLAS System (pictured above) is able to act as both an Alarm and a PA System. This versatility makes it cost-friendly and efficient. Able to cover multiple floors as well as outdoors, it easily creates a reliable safety net for an entire dorm. Resident Assistants can each own a remote control in order to activate the WiLAS System the moment they notice a threat or danger. Doing this would successfully alert both residents and the Dean for a faster reaction time. Using the remote, one can choose to either use existing tones such as “Evacuate” or custom their own. The latter would allow for more accurate information, especially in a larger zone of concern. For instance, during a specific issue, one can add in their tones where to safely evacuate.
Custom Colours for the Hazavoid Wireless Alert Beacon System
The Hazavoid Wireless Alert Beacon System offers four different colours (Red, Amber, Blue, and Green) to fit most situations. In cases of sensory overload, LEDs can indicate danger or lack thereof in better ways than tones and alarms can. Creating reliable and adequate training for staff can allow for easy directing and less panic.
Beacons can be useful to both alert and direct to safety. Using a remote, users can easily activate the WiLERT System both indoors and outdoors. The beacons can be used as a way to gauge danger levels for instance, as well as instruct when danger is gone. Having visual cues can be especially useful for people that are hard of hearing or deaf. Flashing LEDs can also assist in safely evacuating, by either creating a path towards safety or by highlighting areas of concern. It is also possible to use sensors in order to further secure certain zones so that the WiLERT activates as soon as it detects someone.
